Lucas Haddock Gets Up Close and Personal with Leica, Engcon and Hitachi

Last November 15 year old Lucas Haddock of Content with Media attended the Leica Geosystems, Engcon and Hitachi Connected Technology Dig Day event which took place at the Leica Geosystems School in Whitchurch, Shropshire.

The event attracted over 150 construction professionals across the two days and gave visitors a hands-on experience with a range of Hitachi machinery, all equipped with Leica machine control and Engcon tiltrotators; an opportunity to test out all three products at once. 

The event featured some of the star influencers on the social media machinery circuit who were on hand to demonstrate the products and to discuss the benefits of the technology, alongside experts from the three companies.

In the video below which was edited by Lucas, he proves to be a 'chip off the old block' as he continues to follow in his father, Peter Haddock's footsteps, as he talks to Steve Claybrook of Leica Geosystems, to find out more about how 3D machine control works, especially in conjunction with tiltrotators.

Lucas was even able to spend some time operating the machines, and getting to grips with the technology, alongside Lana Edwards aka @tracklass1 on Instagram who was also spending time on the sticks at the event.
