Lucas Haddock has a Trip of a Lifetime with Caterpillar in Malaga

Towards the latter stages of last year young 13-year-old Lucas Haddock got a fantastic opportunity to visit Caterpillar’s awesome Demonstration and Learning Centre in Malaga, Spain, with his father Peter, and was fortunate enough to be given a one-to-one tour looking at some examples of Cat machines which are resident at the facility.

Naturally Lucas’s father Peter Haddock, has been a regular visitor to Malaga in his previous role heading up the PR for UK and Ireland Cat dealership Finning, where he done a fantastic job continually coming up with new and exciting content on a regular basis.

In fact, it was Peter who was instrumental in getting me out to Malaga on numerous occasions for a whole host of exclusive report opportunities, however Lucas had never been able to visit before and having heard all about the place from his dad over the past 14-15 years, he was keen to see it for himself.

During a short family break to Malaga, Content with Media’s roving reporter Lucas was able to spend a day on site, where he was shown around by Caterpillar’s Senior Operator Trainer Siggy, who was keen to answer his questions about the machines in layman’s terms. The machines on show included a 623K elevating scraper, 773 water truck, Next Generation 340 straight boom excavator, MH3024 material handler, D11T dozer, 150 motor grader and the latest product the M315 CR compact radius wheeled excavator.

In the following video Lucas presents the machines and holds an interview with Siggy with questions that he came up with himself, and to top it all off he even edited the video himself.

Lucas is a great, enthusiastic & talented lad and clearly a rising star in the construction machinery social media sector and I know we will be seeing a lot more of him as he gets older!
