MAXPO 2023 Beckons
The next big event on the construction machinery circuit will be SteinExpo 2023, the German equivalent of Hillhead which runs for 4 days from 23rd to 26th August. For the Digger Man Blog however, it’s a fantastic return to Finland for the latest edition of MAXPO.
Maxpo 2023 will take place once again at its spiritual home of Hyvinkää Airport and runs from the Thursday 31st August to Saturday 2nd September, now in its 20th year Maxpo is Finland’s largest machinery trade fair focusing on construction machines and attachments, environmental maintenance equipment and supporting services.
This time around there have been changes to the entrance policy; the usual entrance fee has been waived so visitors can enter the show free of charge in line with many other construction machinery events around the world. To do this visitors must register online at the events website.
"The new policy makes it easier for industry professionals to enter the trade fair and simplifies the invitation process. In the past, by registering with an invitation card, you could enter the trade fair free of charge, but without an invitation, industry professionals have had to pay for entry," says Risto Wuolle from the Helsinki Fair Centre. "This year, we welcome all professionals in the field in August-September to Finland's largest special exhibition of land construction and environmental treatment machines free of charge."
This move is almost certain to have a massive impact on the number of attendees at what is already a well-supported event and one of my personal favourites, not overwhelmingly large, but very manageable and well laid out with the airport runway running right down the middle of the event.
In excess of 200 companies will be participating in Maxpo on an area coveing more than 40,000 square metres. Visitor registration is open: www.maxpo.fi
