Mecalac Skid excavator Vs Standard Excavator

Came across this interesting comparison video recently which looks at the Mecalac Skid excavator compared to a conventional 8-tonne class excavator.

This video has been produced by Nick Dinsdale the Managing Director of Essex based NCD Equipment who are also dealers for the unique French manufactured Mecalac range of machines.

In this video Mecalac’s 8MCR is demonstrated up against Hitachi’s 85USB TAB boom machine. In all fairness the comparison is slightly biased towards the Mecalac as it is such a different animal compared to a conventional 8-tonne class machine, but what it does show is the amazing flexibility, manoeuvrability and speed, that the stylish French machine can offer end users.

Anyone who has witnessed a Mecalac machine being put to good use in anger by an experienced operator cannot fail to be impressed with them, they are fantastic to watch and amazingly fast too.
