Mighty Cat D11T down under

Our friend down under Gary Steen, has sent in another excellent trio of action shots for the readers of the Digger Man Blog to look at, not much information on these but just enjoy the great photos!

In this first shot we see one of the company’s new Caterpillar D11T’s performing ripping duties ahead of the motor scrapers which are working on the new Pacific Highway project which runs from Nambucca to Urunga in New South Wales, Australia. In this shot we see the Caterpillar 651E single engine motor scrapers being ably assisted in the cut by the Cat D11T. Weighing in at 229,848lbs (104,257kgs) the D11T is powered by Cat’s C32 Acert engine which certainly packs a punch, offering a power output of 850hp (634kw). In this final shot from Gary the scrapers and D11T are joined by a Caterpillar motor grader which looks dwarfed by the other machines on this job! We thank Gary for sharing these latest shots with the Digger Man Blog.
