More Bell’s from Moore

Following on from last month’s Earthmovers Magazine article on Alton based Moore’s Transport, I figured I would share a few more photos from my series of site visits on the day.

With a long term association with the Norwegian Moxy product, the name Moores Moxy’s has always been a tag line for this long established Hampshire business. But there is no doubt today that their ADT of choice is now the Bell B30D.

In addition to the fleet of Bell and some older Moxy trucks the company also run a couple of dozers including the very reliable Komatsu D65PX which is one of Chris Moore’s personal favourites.

Also on the dozer fleet is this Caterpillar D6N LGP which features a PAT (Power Angle Tilt) blade, on the day of our visit the machine was having some essential maintenance performed on it by a two man team from Finning the UK dealers for Caterpillar equipment.

But the core of the business is dumptruck’s and moving muck quickly and in this application the Mercedes powered South African Bells have proven to be an excellent all round truck and will continue to be the firms chosen ADT.

It was a great visit and I thank Chris and Ollie for their kind hospitality on the day.
