More forestry treats at the APF Show

In this post I will take a look at some of the other highlights I spotted during my short visit to the APF Show last month which was sadly cut short on the second day by torrential rain!

It’s often said that John Craig of JCC Engcon is the supreme master of tiltrotator installation and machine modification and when you get around and see examples of his work, it’s not hard to see why he is so revered by customers, not only in his native Scotland but on a national basis too. There are many examples to be found around the country, but none are more famous than Eddie Warrener’s Kubota adaptations. Eddies latest “all singing all dancing” Engcon equipped KX080-4 was once again on display at the APF with a variety of his specialist attachments gathered around it. Also on the JCC Engcon stand was a Hyundai R145LCR-9A displayed with an Engcon tiltrotator and Engcon selector grab. Further on down in the woods and we came across the green of Steelwrist and the familiar friendly face of UK tiltrotator entrepanuer Pat  Bulcock. Pat was displaying Fosseway Hire’s Steelwrist equipped Kubota KX57-4 mini excavator which is available for hire as a complete unit, which can only help to further spread the tiltrotator gospel. The machine was also displayed with the grading beam attachment that Pat is selling and is a huge supporter of. Regulars at the APF show Exac-one were demonstrating another KX57-4 model on the Kubota stand showing off a range of their attachments including this tree “lopper” shear. There were a few other forestry machine conversions that I will show in the last blog on the APF next week.
