Next Stop… Wille!

As you open this blog this morning, I will be well on my way back to my favourite place Finland, for my latest catch up with good friends and visits to machinery events.

On this occasion, it will be straight off the plane at Helsinki, where I will be picked up and whisked off to Loimaa, in the South West of Finland, where I will get the opportunity to tour the factory of Wille Machines Oy, who are manufacturers of multi-functional environmental machines, which are extremely popular in Northern Europe.

The company has been manufacturing these machines for over 40 years, and are the largest manufacturer of environmental care machines in in the 2-7-tonne class in Northern Europe.

I have seen many of them during my numerous visits to Finland, more often than not during April out in the cities on street cleaning duties after the long hard winter. But I had never had the opportunity to visit the factory until now.

The company recently launched its electric powered model the e475Δ one of which we hope to be able to get a test drive on at the factory.

I will be giving some coverage on the day across the Digger Man Blog social media platforms, so look out for that, and of course we will have the full story in Earthmovers Magazine in due course.

I will then take a couple of days out doing the tourist bit and spending some time with my good Finnish friends before we head onto the Mansen Mörinät event which takes place at various dealer’s yards in the industrial zone in Pirkanmaa on the Friday and Saturday 17th-18th April.

Once again, I will be bringing a flavour of that event on my social media channels across the two days, signal permitting.
