Nick Drew Talks Dirt with Buildwitt

Last week I had the privilege to be invited on to Aaron Witt’s Dirt Talk podcast show, with the recording taking place on the previous Saturday evening at 7pm here in the UK, 1pm over in Nashville, Tennessee.

During a 40 minute + chat I got to “shoot the poop” as Aaron likes to describe it, chatting about my background in the construction equipment sector from an early age, and on how I was plucked out from obscurity by complete chance, to be offered a gig writing the Digger Blog as it was then known, way back in 2008, right up to landing a dream move to Earthmovers Magazine in 2013, and bringing along my blog, albeit with a slight name change to Digger Man Blog. A great honour for me to be involved with a fantastic publication, of which I have been a subscriber too since it first came out way back in 2004.

We also touched on the things I miss about not being in the seat on a regular basis, and things I definitely don’t miss, and we also briefly touched on the topic of online trolls and bullies.
