Old and new spotted in China

Our good friend Gary Major has just returned from another work trip to China and snapped a series of photos for us to share here on the Digger Man Blog.

While out and about Gary came across a number of machines which just appeared to have been abandoned and left to rot. Amongst those machines was this single drum self-propelled vibratory roller. Marked up as a YZ 1C model, I have not been able to make any positive identification on the make of the roller, but having said that there are just so many Chinese manufacturers producing plant and machinery it could be very difficult to find out the definitive answer on this. The LG marking on the front could suggest a link with LiuGong maybe? Talking of LiuGong Gary spotted this 50 tonne class SGR50C rigid dumptruck parked outside the company’s headquarters in Liuzhou. These machines are yet another example from the company’s portfolio of products many of which we are yet to see on sale in the UK. The SGR50C is powered by a choice of either Cummins KTA10-C525 or QSX-15 diesel engines which offer a power output rating of 525hp. Gary was inspired to put his pen to paper and come up with his own futuristic concept design for future dumptrucks in the range and I think you will agree this machine looks pretty awesome. Big thanks go to Gary for sharing these images with us here on the Digger Man Blog.
