Old School muckshifting is still the best

Last week we featured the somewhat controversial scraper box and ADT combo as a topic, but this week its back to old school kit that is still doing what its best at here in the UK.

Roving plant reporter and Earthmovers colleague, Paul Argent visited this job in Wellingborough, Northants last year to capture the action as John Garner put one of his Caterpillar 631 motor scrapers to work along with his Cat D9H with cushion pushing blade, working alongside Cat D8K’s and towed scraper boxes.

As a youngster I used to sit on the fence for hours watching these things going about their business and was virtually mesmerised by them, watching these skilled men at work is like poetry in motion of that there can be no doubt. Sit back relax and enjoy the footage of this Cat “yellow iron” at work!
