Ollie Gets Up Close and Personal with His New JCB 4CX

It was an absolute joy to come across this amazing video over the weekend, and it fully deserves a spot here on the Digger Man Blog.

Ollie Gunns is without doubt one of the nicest guys on the construction machinery social media circuit and one of the most enthusiastic machinery geeks I’ve ever come across.

It’s his overwhelming enthusiasm and knowledge for the topic that makes his videos such awesome viewing, and this video in particular just demonstrates the man’s passion for his diggers as he gets to witness his new machine coming down the production line at the JCB factory in Rocester, Staffordshire.

I have visited the factory on many occasions in the past, but we hardly ever get the chance to take photos on the production line let alone video, so Ollie is very privileged to have been allowed to film the production process during his tour of the factory.

I had a similar experience when my Takeuchi TB235 was being built, back in the day, but that work was obviously being done in Japan, so I had no chance to see it going down the line in person, but I was updated with photos, some of which I once posted on this blog. That was exciting enough, but to be there in person like Ollie, must have been mind blowing! 

It’s great to see Ollie’s emotions as he got to see his 4CX Millionth edition backhoe loader coming to life before his own eyes, and all credit to him for sharing it with us on his You Tube channel, so without further ado, lets checkout the video.
