Our Cat man down under gets that sinking feeling

Our resident Englishman down under Michael Bullock, has shared one of his latest photos with us, and it appears he’s got into a spot of bother.

We have all been there haven’t we; merrily going about our work without a care in the world, when suddenly you get that horrible sensation that something is not going to plan. In the blink of an eye, the machine you are using is sinking fast and there is not much you can do about it. In an excavator, at least you have half a chance of saving yourself, but in a dozer it’s often a case of call for help!

In this instance, Michael tells us that a previous operator has pushed a load of wet slop into a heap of topsoil, and unaware of this at the time Michael tracked his current mount, a Caterpillar D8T straight into it and unfortunately, straight down she went. Michael was soon back-in play though, as he was dug out by a Volvo EC480D that was in the area! We look forward to more down under adventures from Michael in the not too distant future.
