Over the side off load, but not how we know it!

Accident photos and videos used to be a big feature on this blog in the early days, but due to the rise in plant & machinery Facebook pages these days sharing this kind of stuff, I haven’t posted any for some time, however this one caught my eye over the weekend and I thought I would pop it on the blog.

From the first moment you see this footage which was filmed in Lungdai in India, you just know it’s not going to end well for the machine or even possibly the operator who has put himself in a perilous position right from the start. With the lorry on an uphill slope with a camber sloping towards a gully it was always going to be a potentially dangerous task getting the JCB JS220 off in one piece.
