Parchow Groundworks Invest in LiuGong Fleet

Based in Waterlooville near Portsmouth, Parchow Groundworks Ltd have become the latest business to invest in LiuGong excavators, which have been supplied by LiuGong Direct UK, based in Portsmouth.

Parchow Groundworks Ltd were established in 2009 by highly experienced Managing Directors, Andy Howe and Dave Cleeve, who had previously worked together in the industry for many years.  More  recently they have been joined by Kieran Shalloe who also takes up a Directorship role.

The family-based business undertakes building and civil engineering work across a wide range of sectors, including schools, hospitals and commercial properties, and an increasingly large focus on house building groundworks for a number of blue-chip clients including Barratt Homes, Persimmon Homes, Crayfern Homes and local builder PMC.

The company employs around 120 staff and with continued expansion they have seen annual turnover double every year for the past 4 years to around £14m.

The company were previously running a fleet of 9 excavators from a competitive brand which will all be traded in for this significant new order of 20 LiuGong machines.

The first batch of machines have been delivered and consists of:

• 5 x 909ECR
• 1 x 922E  
• 2 x 915E

A second batch consisting of 2 more 15-tonne class excavators and 10 smaller mini excavators will be delivered in due course.

• 4 x 9027F
• 1 x 9018F

In a nice personal touch, the names of the collective directors 10 children have been put on the machines cab doors.

Talking about their decision to purchase the LiuGong excavators, Parchow Groundworks Ltd’s Managing Director, Andy Howe said “We chose LiuGong as we feel they represent great value for money.  Not only do they look good, they are very robust machines.  We also like all the extras you get as standard, especially from a safety perspective with the built-in cameras.  For the operators you get all the creature comforts that you could possibly need in the cab”.
