Plantworx 2023 was a Blast!
Well, the dust has quite literally settled on what was a truly fantastic Plantworx show, which saw the 2023 edition bathed in wall-to-wall sunshine for the entire 3 days.
From the Plantworx shows inception in 2013, it has historically been blighted by the traditionally unpredictable British weather, often being doused in torrential rainfall, but fortunately for this years event, the weather gods were well and truly on our side, providing scorching temperatures, sunshine and blue skies, which just added to the excitement of the event, and certainly made it a more pleasant 3 days for the circa 14,000 visitors who took the time out from their busy schedules to come and visit the show which took place at the East of England Arena in Peterborough.

One of the standout features for me was the rise in electric powered construction machinery, of which there were examples on display all around the showground, this technology is moving fast and manufacturers are working hard to make these machines more viable in terms of how long they can run on a single charge, which is always a concern raised by machine end users we speak to on a daily basis.

I will be reporting on the show in more depth in the latest edition of Earthmovers Magazine which hits the shops later this week, and landing on subscribers’ doormats as this post goes live!
I have to conclude here, that the whole team behind Plantworx delivered a fantastic event in every aspect, every little detail went like clockwork, so a massive thank you to all of you involved in delivering this great show!

Massive congratulations also go out to all the Plantworx Innovation Award winners who picked up their awards from the celebrity guest speaker Shaun Wallace, aka “The Dark Destroyer” from ITV’s hit TV quiz show The Chase, at the gala dinner event on the night before the show officially opened.
