Postcards from ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023
ConExpo-Con/Agg North America's largest construction machinery and equipment show officially opened its doors for business today and visitors from across the globe turned out in their thousands to check out the latest machines, attachments and technology.
I ganied entry on the last build-up day on Monday for a sneaky peek around and my first port of call was the LiuGong North America stand where I took the opportunity to re-visit the TD-16N, which was first revealed publicly in prototype form at the last ConExpo-Con/Agg show in 2020.

The machine on display this time around, is the full production model which is available to purchase now. The dynamic looking dozer which offers unrivalled access to the cab and superb visibility once inside, has certainly generated a lot of interest since 2020, and it will be interesting to see how they perform out in the field.
Of interest to European visitors will be the two new 5-and 6-tonne class zero tail-swing midi excavators, namely the 9051FZTS and the 9057FZTS, which will join the previously launched zero-tail offering the 9027FZTS in the line-up.

One of the highlights of the display is the 856H-E Max battery-electric wheel loader in its distinctive green livery. As we reported previously a LiuGong spokesperson said that there are already around 2,000 of these units operating globally in applications where traditional combustion engines aren’t allowed or in fixed site operations where investments in charging infrastructure make sense.

At the top end of the excavator range LiuGong are also displaying the 95-tonne 995FDM, a machine which has proven to be a good investment for several UK companies already, the big machine was certainly making a dominating impact on the stand.

Checkout our walkaround of some of the LiuGong machines visitors will be able to see at the show.
