Potter Plant Hire Gets the X-Factor

Potter Plant Hire who are based on the outskirts of Thirsk in the North of England have been gearing up with some of the latest X-Series hydraulic excavators from JCB.

Potter Plant Hire Gets the X-Factor

Potter Plant Hire was first established by Giles Potter back in 1994, initially starting off running a single tracked loading shovel. Through sustained expansion the company has grown to run a fleet of nearly 1000 machines, supplying equipment and skilled operators to major infrastructure projects up and down the UK.

Earlier this year the company invested in eight x 22-24-tonne class JCB 220X hydraulic excavators, supplied by regional dealers T C Harrison JCB, in a deal put together by local TCH sales representative Pete Smith.

Having been impressed by the performance of the larger excavators, and following on from that order, the company has recently invested in a further four x 15-18tonne class 145XR reduced tailswing hydraulic excavators.

The 145XR is the long awaited second reduced radius tailswing machine in the X-Series line up, joining its larger brother the 245XR which was launched back in late 2021.

Power comes from the well proven Stage V emissions compliant JCB Dieselmax engine, which is the same power pack fitted in the conventional tailswing 140X model, and offers a power output rating of 81kW (108hp).

At its heart the machine features the very latest hydraulic system, driven by the state-of-the-art Kawasaki hydraulic pump. An additional bonus with these machines is that they feature a full-sized cab, with high specification interiors and no compromise on interior space that we find in other reduced radius models.

You can expect to see these new machines in Potter Plant Hire livery working on major road jobs especially in the North of England in due course.
