Re-Visiting the Wacker Neuson ET90 with Ian Wood

During a recent visit to Wacker Neuson’s UK facility Peter Haddock and myself were taking a look at the very latest version of the hugely successful Dual View dumper, but we also got reacquainted with the equally successful 9-tonne class ET90 midi excavator.

Re-Visiting the Wacker Neuson ET90 with Ian Wood

Incredibly the Perkins powered Wacker Neuson ET90 was originally launched as far back as 2015 but it has gone on to be a very popular model for the manufacturer and continues to sell well to this day, especially with owner operators, but also with plant hirers.

Talking about the machine Ian Wood of Wacker Neuson UK said, "Originally designed to accommodate the transition to Stage V, this was one of the first machines our engineers at the factory in Linz collaborated on with the team at Perkins.

And now we have a range of machines that use Perkins engines, including our new EW100 compact wheeled excavator.

The ET90 itself is a real workhorse on site. And thanks to our 3-pin bucket linkage, it delivers 20% more breakout force whilst also allowing the operator to extend the bucket's angle of rotation to 200 degrees.

This means the operator can dig nice square holes whilst also curling the bucket to better load wagons without spilling material. For operators wanting to use tiltrotators or quick couplers, we can also provide up to four additional factory installed controlled circuits”.

Having spent a morning on this machine personally I honestly could not fault it, nice and smooth to operate, comfortable cab, excellent all-around visibility and plenty of power in the dig.
