Screening Bucket Hotbed

One thing I have noticed during my many years of visiting Finland, is that it appears to be a real hotbed for screening bucket design, development and manufacturing.

Of course, we all know the most famous red brand, but there are numerous other makes based in Finland too. One of those other brands is Vipermetal which is now under the ownership of Multimek Oy.

Although probably not so well known outside of Finland, Vipermetal has been in business for over for over 20 + years and manufacture over 30 different products, including the screening buckets, but also crusher buckets, forest planter bucket, and a specialist Nordic waste baler. They will also manufacturer bespoke buckets to meet a customer’s requirements.

Vipermetal currently produce 10 models of screening bucket ranging from the VPH 2-700 for excavators in the 3,500-7,000kg range right up to the VPV 5-1350 for excavators in the 20,000 — 28,000 kg size class. These units can also be fitted to wheeled loaders as the size predicts.

Vipermetal’s screening buckets are designed to feature a lightweight structure, and are built in their own factory in Finland using highly durable metals for long service and strength in the harshest of conditions.

I will be taking a closer look at these the next time I am back in Finland later this year.
