Sonsray Machinery Adds Hitachi to its Portfolio

We were recently contacted by Thayne Hymas who works for long established North American based dealership Sonsray Machinery, who was keen to talk to us about their latest addition to their product offering.

This multi-faceted business was established by its owner Matt Hoelscher in 2010 initially as Sonsray Rental and Leasing specialising in refrigerated trailers. Just two years later in 2013 Matt opened a number of CASE construction equipment dealerships, covering a wide range of territory along the west coast from Canada to Mexico.

Thayne Hymas has a long track record in the industry primarily selling CASE construction equipment since 1996 so has many years of experience under his belt.

Most recently Sonsray Machinery has added the Hitachi range of construction equipment to its line up of products, which also includes other brands such as Kubota, following Sonrays acquisition of the Goodman Ag Group, who were the former dealers, and Bomag compaction equipment.

The company are now Selling Hitachi widely across the region with the CASE products being sold to the north of the Bay Area.

Thayne, who is based in Salem, Oregon, now representing Hitachi said, “The Hitachi line is not only new to us, but we are also the first full line dealer to be appointed for Hitachi US in Oregon”.

Thayne concluded, “It has been interesting having been a lifelong CASE guy and then in an instant becoming Hitachi focused. The product line has a great reputation and despite change bringing a little stress we are excited about the opportunities to grow the line in Oregon”.
