Takeuchi on Full Charge for the Executive Hire Show (EHS Show Highlights)

Fans of the ‘Red & Grey’ will be delighted to see that Takeuchi UK are returning to the Executive Hire Show next month taking place at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Having taken a year out last time around the Takeuchi team will be back at the EHS with a stand showcasing the electric powered TB20e, which readers may recall featured on the ‘Takeuchi Time’ challenge at Plantworx last year, hosted by our good friend Dave Vickers.

Visitors will be able to take a good look around the machine and talk to the team about it. The new TB20e is said to deliver excellent excavating performance that matches its diesel equivalent model, the ever-popular TB216, with no reduction in power performance, slew speeds and breakout force. Having tried the machine out the day before Plantworx opened to the public, I can confirm that it performs just as you would expect a conventional powered machine to perform.  

Takeuchi state that with a full charge the 24.7kWh maintenance free lithium-ion battery can provide up to 8 hours of operating time at 65% load and of course, zero emissions at point of use.

Takeuchi will also be bringing along their smallest offering the 1.1 tonne TB210R micro compact mini excavator, which is powered by a 3-cylinder diesel engine, and features full pilot controls nicely located by the seat for a comfortable operating experience.

The machines extendable track frame can be retraced down to 750mm for entering standard doorways or where access is tight, and once into the working zone can be extended out to 1020mm for working stability and performance.

Completing the line-up will be the 3-Series TB325R a 2.5-tonne reduced radius model that we first tried out in 2021 for a test drive report in Earthmovers Magazine.
