Takeuchi’s 15 tonner gets to grips with the Woodcracker

Takeuchi continues to get great coverage on the new TB2150 and as I predicted with the new fixed boom TB2150R waiting in the wings, 2017 looks set to be a massive year for the Japanese manufacturer.

Austrian based forestry attachment specialists Westtech have been using a Takeuchi TB2150 on location in a snowy Austria to demonstrate the company’s C350 Woodcracker tree cutter and gripper which enables safe and controlled handling of trees and large bushes.

The Woodcracker C350 tips the scales at between 1100-1400kgs depending on specification and can offer a cutting diameter of 400mm with a gripper opening of 1430mm. In the video below the Takeuchi TB2150 looks extremely comfortable and well balanced in this demanding role when dealing with the heavier timber sections.
