Takeuchi’s Electric Mini Ex Steals the Show at the EHS

At last weeks Executive Hire Show Takeuchi UK presented its battery powered mini excavator sporting a new livery specifically designed for this model.

Fans of the red & grey were probably a little bit confused when they stopped by the Takeuchi stand at the show, as it was definitely a case of ‘two shades of grey’ for the TB20e battery powered mini excavator, that was being officially launched into the UK market at the show.

The TB20e had previously made an appearance at last years Plantworx event where it was the machine of choice on the Takeuchi Time operator challenge, hosted by our good friend Dave Vickers.

But at the Executive Hire Show in Coventry, it was presented in its all-new colour scheme of light and dark grey, which the manufacturer has chosen to identify the machine as an electric/battery powered version. This will be the chosen livery for the battery models going forward with the more familiar red and grey remaining for conventional diesel-powered examples.

My great friend and industry colleague Peter Haddock, who was hosting the Innovation Trail at the show, caught up with Takeuchi UK’s Chris Bushell on the stand, to find out more about the TB20e, you can watch his video below.
