The Rush is on to Grab the Golden Volvo

The stunning gold painted Gold Rush Volvo EC200E that was inspired by the hit TV series on the Discovery Channel is set to be auctioned off at Ritchie Bros biggest auction of the year in Orlando, Florida which runs from 17th-22nd February 2020.

The Rush is on to Grab the Golden Volvo

Talking about the machine the proceeds of which will be given to charity Dave Foster, Marketing and Communications, Volvo Construction Equipment Americas said, “This is a great opportunity to own a truly unique and personal-looking excavator. At the same time, you can do good by helping others. "We are honoured to support these organizations and provide an excavator as a tool for charity."

The income that is generated from the machines sale at the Ritchie Bros Auction will be distributed 60/40 between the two non-profit organizations, Building Homes for Heroes and Habitat for Humanity Both help people build homes for themselves. The American public can vote for their favorite on the Internet. The winner of the vote will receive a higher percentage of the sale price. By mid-January, over one million votes had already been cast.

The Volvo is painted is a specially prepared gold paint, which Volvo estimate is worth between $ 5,000 and $ 7,000 alone! It also features gold coloured track street pads, while inside the cab there is a specially commissioned leather seat which features the signatures of three of the stars of the show, Tony Beets, Parker Schnabel and Rick Ness.

The lucky new owner who wins the auction will then be invited to attend a ceremony at Conexpo, where it will feature on the Volvo CEA stand along with Gold Rush miners, in what will be its last public appearance and grand finale of its North American Tour.
