The Search is on for a Father’s JCB

A post appeared on the Digger Man Blog Facebook group over the weekend, and I thought it would be great to share it here on the dedicated main blog page.

The Search is on for a Father’s JCB

A post was shared by group member and collector of classic JCB’s Garry Bain, regarding a request for information about the whereabouts of a 1983/4 JCB 3CX by Donald John Dempster, who lives in Arisaig, a village in Lochaber, Inverness-shire, on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands.

Apparently, Donald’s late father used to own this JCB which sported the registration number A279 VSK and Donald is now trying to track it down. According to Donald the machine left the Arisaig area back in the mid 1990’s, and he believes it was sold to someone further north in or around the Dingwall area.

He has already done some homework and according to the DVLA it is still taxed, so he is optimistic in thinking that it is still alive and kicking somewhere.

If there is anyone reading this blog up in that neck of the woods it would be great to hear from you if you know where this machine is, and hopefully it can be reunited with the Dempsey family if it’s available to be purchased. Post your feedback in the comments section of this post on our Digger Man Blog Facebook group once its uploaded this morning.
