“There no business like show business”

We are now into our second working week of 2015, a year which is going to be a very busy one on the construction plant and equipment show circuit. In this post I am going to highlight the major events which many of us will be interested in attending.

First up on the calendar is the Doe Show which will be celebrating its 55^thyear in 2015. The show will be held on 3^rd, 4^th, & 5^th February at Ulting, Maldon, Essex CM9 6QH and will feature working and static displays of the long established dealers construction brands including Hyundai, New Holland, Thwaite’s and Bomag to name a few.

In addition the firm’s agricultural division will be displaying their product ranges too. Other attractions include over 150 trade stands, used and shop soiled machinery bargains and catering facilities.

Just over a week later it’s the turn of the Executive Hire Show to take on the baton when on the 11^th of Feb the show opens its doors at its ancestral home of the Ricoh Arena in Coventry and runs for 2 days. Visitors can expect the usual mix of what’s new in the small tool and plant hire industry in what has become the must visit show for that sector.

Next up it’s this year’s big International event. Described as the second largest show of its kind, Intermat 2015 takes place at the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition centre in Paris from 20^th – 25^th April.

The impressive show features 375,000sqm of exhibition space and 30,000sqm of outdoor demonstration space. Many of the major manufacturers will be launching new models at this show as is customary, so there will be plenty of new kit for visitors to see in Paris this April.

[youtube width="725" height="344"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1g3rEeWfUY[/youtube] Last but not least it’s our big show as the 2^nd Plantworx event opens its doors at its new location of Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, Leicestershire on the 2^nd – 4^th of June. Building on the success of the first show in 2013, this year’s event looks set to be a sell out, with over 216 exhibitors signed up to attend already.

It’s a must see show for anyone involved in the UK construction plant and machinery world. Plantworx 2015 features 100,000sqm of exhibition space featuring the latest construction equipment and services, from a wide range of leading plant and equipment brands. Including live demo plots where operators and owners alike can get hands on with the latest kit on presentation of the necessary CPCS accreditation. I will be there and I am sure many of you will be too.
