Treading Lightly with PowerBully

There is a new kid on the block in the UK tracked dumper sector, the aptly named PowerBully.

Treading Lightly with PowerBully

I spotted the impressive looking Power Bully 12 D when I briefly stopped by the stand of the UK importers during Plantworx last year.

These machines are manufactured by Austrian based company Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG, a specialist in designing and manufacturing machines for challenging terrains from snow covered mountains, to sandy beaches and everything in between.

Probably best known for their PistenBully snow grooming machines, the company has in recent years expanded its range of machines to include the tracked dumpers and tracked carrier models.

PowerBully tracked vehicles have been designed specifically for operating in rough terrain: With a payload capacity of over 11.5 tons and minimum ground pressure the off-road tracked vehicles transport bulk solids, materials and attachments to job sites that can’t be reached with wheeled vehicles.

The ultra-low ground pressure 12D carries a heaped capacity of 6.4m3/ 8.4yd3 and is powered by a Stage V emissions compliant Cummins 6-cylinder diesel engine producing a powerful output of 209kw (285hp) @2000rpm.

Climbing ability is 60% up and downhill and 40% sideways enabling the machine to perform safely and effectively on even the steepest of grades.

Checkout the video below to see the machine in action.
