Unique Finnish Trade Event Mansen Mörinät Returns Again

Mansen Mörinät has been organized for over 20 years now, and takes place at various locations across the Tampere, Pirkkala and Lempäälä region, and attracts in excess of 15,000 visitors every time it is held.

Unique Finnish Trade Event Mansen Mörinät Returns Again

The event which is largely organized by media partners Koneporssi, is without doubt one of my all-time favourites, I love the simplicity of the concept, which sees all the dealers taking part locally, opening their depots for visitors to visit, and enjoy looking at the latest machinery, with entertainment and food laid on, where you can catch up with good friends and enjoy the friendly atmosphere that this event provides.

It just makes perfect sense to me, as nobody has to move the equipment to a venue, have to pay for the privilege to be there, put up and feed your staff and all the other associated costs of attending traditional style shows.

The family friendly event is also frequented by attachment manufacturers, transport/truck manufacturers and smaller businesses, that set up in the dealer’s yards, so there is always plenty of variety to experience.

This long-established concept in Finland is clearly being noticed in other countries, as I am seeing a rise in this way of doing things. A look back at the excellent Molson Days event last year in the UK is a prime example of how this can work for dealers. Of course, the big events very much still have a place in the show circuit, but I think we will see a lot more of this kind of thing over the coming years.

This year’s Mansen Mörinät takes place on Friday 12th & Saturday 13th April, and I will be attending once more, networking with my Finnish friends and spreading the word globally across our social media channels, I hope to see some of you there!
