Up Close and Personal with a Komatsu PC2000

Last week on my penultimate day in Finland for this latest tour, I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Seepsula Quarry in Tuusula close to Helsinki-Vantaa airport to see the latest big piece of kit in action.

As reported on this blog back in April, one of the major contractors working at this facility Jarkan Maansiirto Oy, recently took delivery of the 200-tonne class Komatsu PC2000-11 hydraulic excavator, to replace an outgoing Liebherr R 9150 B, which they had been running previously.

This is the 5^th PC2000 to be delivered into the Finnish market by the regional dealer Suomen Rakennuskone Oy.

I will be reporting on the massive Seepsula facility and the machine in more detail in the next edition of Earthmovers Magazine, but as a taster I thought I would share my video from the day in this blog post.
