Venieri Compact Backhoe Loaders in the Army
As you read this blog post this morning, I will be arriving at the home of Venieri Spa in Lugo, Italy to spend a day with the team, to find out more about this Italian family-based business that has been manufacturing machines for well over 70 years.
No doubt we will be treated to a tour of the Venieri manufacturing facility to take a look first hand at the work that goes into putting together these stylish looking machines, and later getting “hands-on” with some of the machines on the demo area.
Unfortunately, my time will be limited, as I’m being whisked out on the same night, but I intend to pack as much in as I can while I’m there. I have spoken to Filippo Muccinelli Venieri on numerous occasions at some of the global trade fairs, and we have always spoken about making a visit to the facility, so I am super excited to finally be making the trip, which has been a long time in the planning.

One machine that caught my eye at Bauma, was the little compact 1.33C backhoe loader, which in this instance was sporting military drab green colours, and had its backhoe removed and replaced with a grit spreading hopper.

My understanding is that this machine was part of a significant order from the Italian army for Venieri machines.
In the promotional video below, we can see this versatile machine being used to run a number of different attachments which makes it such a useful piece of compact kit, especially in a military application.
Signal permitting, and time allowing, I hope to be posting some short video clips from my day with Venieri, on my various Digger Man Blog social media platforms, so lookout for that.
