Volvo falls victim to Swedish bog

We have featured numerous bogging’s that have taken place up in Sweden over the years. It can be a very treacherous place in some areas and in this post we see another example of how things can go wrong very quickly.

I don’t have much detail on this event which was posted by our Swedish friend Mattis Ryd on Facebook, but as you can clearly see from the photos the Volvo EC210C has become severely stuck with absolutely no hope of helping itself out of this one. From what I can make out a 220 ton mobile crane was brought in to lift out the stricken machine, ably assisted by a Volvo EC140C which was used to dig out around the machine. In hours of darkness the machine was lifted out and in the morning it was checked over before being washed off and going back to work. No doubt with the Swedish mind set, everyone was cool calm and collected and nobody lost their job over this! We thank Mattis for sharing his photos with us here on the Digger Man Blog.
