Volvo Leading a Charge with Electric Machines

Volvo Construction Equipment are leading the way in the development of electric powered construction machinery, and only last week launched a fantastic video on the topic that I wanted to share here on the Digger Man Blog.

The action revolves around two machine operators who are running electric powered Volvo CE machines on Denmark’s first large scale all-electric construction site in Esbjerg.

What I enjoyed about this video is that it features experienced operators of advancing years, who have quite clearly embraced the whole cutting-edge electric machine phenomena and enjoying the experience.

Most notable in the video is Volvo CE’s EC230 electric excavator, and the L120 electric wheeled loader, in addition on site is an ECR25 electric compact excavator and the PU500 mobile power unit for recharging.

So, without further ado, lets join Jan and Tommy on site in their electric Volvo machines.
