Waiting for the new Hidromek’s
I have been covering Hidromek products on the blog since its inception in 2008 on the old Contract Journal website, it’s a company I follow with great interest as they are innovative, exciting and strive to produce dynamic and stylish looking kit.
Regular members of our side line Digger Man Blog Facebook group, Lionel and Matthew Whitnell and James Dance were recently invited out to the factory in Ankara to take a look first hand at the facilities and get a feel for the manufacturer and what they are about. I did hear that they had seen the latest HMK300LC model and that got me wondering just when we are likely to see the latest designed machines arriving in the UK.
In April next year it will be two years since we first saw the new model on display alongside existing machines in the range during Bauma in Munich. The new excavator which features a 151kw (202hp) Stage 4 emissions compliant engine and tips the scales at 32,400kgs cannot be far away and we may even see an official launch at Intermat in Paris next year.
Many of the contacts that I used to know within the Hidromek company have moved on to other things so I’m not getting the inside story these days, but I for one will be interested to find out exactly when the new shape Turkish designed and manufactured machines will go into production in mass numbers.
