Xwatch completes two Hitachi installations for WR57 in Italy

Xwatch Safety Solutions has completed two XW4 installations in Italy for WR57 srl, official distributor of the Hitachi brand for Emilia Romagna and San Marino.

Xwatch completes two Hitachi installations for WR57 in Italy

Xwatch engineers Shane Myers and Tom Goodfield travelled to Italy to fit the systems to two Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) excavators, a ZX95 and a ZX130, adding height and slew control to machines working in WR57’s fleet.

Founded in Rimini in 2011 by Widmer Ricci, WR57 s.r.l has grown from its roots as a Hitachi earthmoving dealer into a wider machinery sales, rental and service business. The company represents a number of major brands across earthmoving, road construction and crushing equipment, with a strong focus on rental and customer support.

That rental focus makes practical machine safety especially important. Hire machines often move between different sites, operators and working environments, so clear, easy-to-use safety systems play a valuable role.

The Xwatch Safety Solutions part of Hexagon XW4 system helps operators monitor and restrict height and slew movement, supporting safer working around buildings, overhead hazards, traffic routes and other restricted areas. For machines such as the Hitachi ZX95 and ZX130, it adds an extra level of control without overcomplicating the machine. The systems fitted for WR57 are also available in Italian, giving operators clear, familiar on-screen information and making them easier to use from the cab.

Italy, like the rest of the EU, operates under strong machinery and workplace safety requirements, making practical systems such as Xwatch XW4 a sensible addition for excavators working in busy or sensitive environments.

Anna Raco, Sales Operations Manager at WR57 srl, said: “As a Hitachi distributor and rental specialist, we are always looking at ways to support our customers with machines that are safe, practical and ready for demanding work. The Xwatch systems fitted to the ZX95 and ZX130 give operators clear control over height and slew movement, which is especially useful when machines are working in restricted areas.”

Jemma Dycer - Hopkins (IOSH), Sales and Operations Manager at Xwatch Safety Solutions, said: “It is great to see Xwatch systems being fitted to Hitachi machines in Italy and to support WR57 with these installations. The XW4 is a strong fit for this type of machine because it gives operators practical height and slew control without making the machine complicated to use. A big well done to Shane and Tom for completing the installations and thank you to WR57 for choosing Xwatch.”

For Xwatch, the visit is another example of its systems supporting customers beyond the UK, with hands-on installation support and machines ready to go back to work.
