Zooming in on Zoomlion

Over the years we have seen numerous examples of Chinese manufacturer Zoomlion’s construction machinery offerings at the international trade fairs, and now it appears that they are making in roads in the UK market.

Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co Ltd, to give it their full title, is another major Chinese manufacturer of equipment, specializing in construction, agricultural, mining, and engineering machinery.

The business is based in Changsha, Hunan, China and was founded in 1992, the company claims to be China’s largest and the world’s fifth-largest construction machinery manufacturer, and state that their products are sold in more than 170 countries.

The UK division were also present at last years Plantworx construction machinery exhibition, where we did take a brief look around some of their quirky grey and lime green coloured mini excavators. In addition, Zoomlion UK Ltd, will also be exhibiting at the Hillhead Show later this month, on stand CE7, so that will be another opportunity to check them out.

I am yet to try one out in person yet, but hopefully that will be happening sooner rather than later.
