Home/ Office Based

Full Time, 8am-5pm Monday - Friday plus additional hours where necessary. Travel nationwide and to Germany.

Reporting to National Sales Manager

Krone are a world leader in the production of grass and forage harvesting technology. Krone have an established Sales, Service and Parts business in the UK and due to our continued growth, and success we are expanding our team. We are looking to appoint further enthusiastic team members to help develop and grow the Krone business in the UK. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the Krone UK team. The product manager will be responsible to understand the needs of UK farmers and contractors and work closely with product management in our HQ in Germany to meet those needs. You will provide the product vision working with many other roles in developing, supporting and selling the product in line with the company’s strategy and goals

Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and help fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with dealers and key external partners.
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and mange prototypes.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Work closely as the conduit into Krone HQ in Germany to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
  • Drive product launches including working with marketing and sales team, management and other Krone UK team members
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
  • Act as a product champion to build awareness and understanding
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services

Requirements and skills

To be successful you will be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to make decisions autonomously, and in line with company policies and strategic direction. You will have proven success of product management in an Agricultural or Land Based business, with the skills to challenge and lead as well as working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization. You will have a proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle. You must be IT confident, process driven and very well organised along with strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
