50-year milestone for Yanmar

Often considered to be the founder of the mini excavator concept Yanmar has been a leading player in the sector and is a major supplier of engines to other manufacturers of compact construction equipment. In 1968 when the YNB300 was launched it revolutionised the construction industry, greatly reducing the amount of manual labour that was required on sites and they were especially useful on tight urban projects for which they were designed. The company continue to launch innovative machines to the market to this day and to mark this 50-year milestone the company has produced a special edition of its newly launched SV60 midi-excavator in a stunning all red livery, which was manufactured at its European facility in Saint-Dizier in France. The SV60 is considered to be the new flagship model and combines the space-saving benefits of a compact design, with one of the roomiest cabs in its class and enhanced fuel-saving features. Andreas Hactergal, sales and marketing director at Yanmar CEE, commented: “At Yanmar, we are very proud of what we have been able to achieve over the past 50 years, offering the industry new solutions and helping improve the way in which construction is approached. “Today, we still follow the same strategy of innovation and development, with our teams using years of collective knowledge to create the most-advanced range of machinery on the market, used by construction, civil engineering and landscaping sectors the world over.” Check out the video below for more information on this special anniversary.
