Ageing & Abandoned Dressers Discovered

Anthony who hails from North Branford, Connecticut, came across the 3 dozers, which are believed to be, mid 1980’s TD-25G models, on a long since defunct housing development in the local town of East Haven.

These venerable old tractors are direct descendants of the old International Harvester TD-25 models. With Dresser Industries Inc having purchased the construction machinery division of IH back in 1982, they inherited a long-established range of dozers.

The TD-25G was powered by a 6-cylinder Cummins KT-1150C diesel engine offering a power output of 320hp (238kw).

The machines featured a powershift transmission with 6 forward and 6 reverse gears, and what the company described at the time as an exclusive feature, “Hands Only” 2-speed steering.

Although these machines have clearly been stood for a very long time, I’m sure it would not take too much work and effort to get them working again, as all things considered, they don’t look too bad at all for sitting outside exposed to the elements.

It is unclear as to who owns them, or if they are available to be purchased, but its incredibly sad to see them just lying there rusting away.

Of course, today Dresser dozers continue evolve and are still manufactured in the same factory in Stalowa Wola, in Poland under the Dressta brand name, a business that is now owned by Chinese manufacturer LiuGong.
