Atlas Copco introduces HiLight M+ 5 and M+ 7 light towers

Atlas Copco has expanded its HiLight series of light towers with the addition of the M+ 5 and M+ 7, offering customers even more choices for efficient and versatile illumination in various applications, including construction, mining, entertainment, and sporting events. Built on a shared platform, the M+ light towers combine advanced SMD LED technology with Smart Light Distribution technology by Atlas Copco, offering low fuel consumption, full ergonomics with a hydraulic mast and electric rotation, and extended autonomy. This helps reduce operating costs and downtime without compromising performance.

The HiLight M+ 5 prioritises maximum efficiency and extended runtime. It is equipped with four high-class 250W floodlights offering up to 212 hours of autonomy and the lowest fuel consumption in the range. This makes the M+ 5 ideal for sites that demand uninterrupted, economic operation.

The HiLight M+ 7 is equipped with four high-class 350W floodlights, offering a higher light output without sacrificing fuel efficiency. Ideal for more demanding projects, the M+ 7 offers excellent fuel economy at 0.68 l/h, ensuring strong, reliable lighting without higher running costs or emissions. Operating at full potential, the M+ 7 delivers up to 192 hours of illumination.

Both light towers are designed for ease of use and safe deployment, featuring a hydraulic mast, electric mast head rotation, and intuitive controls that simplify setup and daily operation. They are equipped with highly fuel-efficient Stage V engine technology, which reduces operating costs and refuelling outages as well as CO2 and noise emissions, supporting sustainability and compliance.

Like other HiLight light towers, the M+ 5 and M+ 7 feature HardHat® composite casings that are lightweight and durable, enabling ease of manoeuvrability and the ability to operate reliably in extreme conditions, including temperatures from   -25℃ to +50℃. Through a combination of optimised fuel consumption, extended component lifespan, and service intervals of up to 600 hours, HiLight light towers have a low total cost of ownership and deliver a shorter return on investment.

The HiLight series is a true one-platform solution, reducing the need for multiple specialized units. With wide-area illumination of up to 7,360 m², customers can achieve strong visibility with fewer units, lowering logistics costs and environmental impacts.

Eric Tomin, Atlas Copco’s Product Marketing Manager for Lighting Towers and Portable Generators, concludes: “The HiLight M+ series represents our commitment to combine proven performance with trusted reliability, ensuring that customers can always count on Atlas Copco to find a lighting solution that matches their application and their budget. The M+ 5 and M+ 7 are valuable additions to our light tower range, extending the choice of illumination and offering smarter, more efficient solutions that meet practical and regulatory requirements.”
