Bauma: The Big One Beckons!
Bauma which takes place 24th - 30 October, is without doubt the mother of all construction and machinery shows, but in the wake of the pandemic, its already clear to see that some manufacturers are prepared to take a different approach to their marketing campaigns regarding live shows.
A number of large industry names are not going to be making an appearance in Munich this time around including, Volvo Construction Equipment, JCB and LiuGong to name a few, even the mighty Caterpillar are leaving it all in the very capable hands of their German dealership Zeppelin to promote the brand on their home soil.
However, the vast majority of manufacturers and dealers will still be there and I’m sure it will be as mega and vast as ever, I’m certainly going to be upping my fitness regime to cope with the many days of constant walking the vast expanses of the Messe Munchen centre, both outdoors and indoors.
The build up is already underway especially for Liebherr’s ever impressive booth, which incredibly resembles a small town, and has been something of a base for me during the previous 3 Bauma shows, as a guest of Liebherr for their social media influencers gathering. Unfortunately, no invitation has been forthcoming for me personally this year, but obviously I will still be visiting when the show finally gets underway.
