Bell motor graders utilise Leica 3D Machine Control

Bell Equipment has teamed up with Leica Geosystems to offer 2D and 3D machine control across its motor grader range, including its new electro-hydraulic (EH) joystick-controlled grader.

The integration covers Bell’s mechanical-control and EH graders, with customers able to specify Leica Geosystems’ machine control systems using laser, GNSS or total station positioning. Bell graders can now be supplied machine control-ready from the factory, allowing Leica components to be installed more quickly and with less disruption.

Machine control for EH graders

A key part of the integration is support for Bell’s electro-hydraulic joystick-controlled graders. Leica says its machine control systems can be installed on the full Bell grader range, allowing operators to use the same guidance technology across different machine configurations.

Bell is a premium name in mining and construction, and this integration shows how far we can extend machine control across equipment manufacturers and machine configurations," says Martin Verdurmen, President of Hexagon’s Machine Control Division.

The Bell grader integration made its public debut at Electra Mining Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 7–11 September 2026, where Leica Geosystems demonstrated its machine control technology on Bell graders.
