Big Shift Captured by Buildwitt
Aaron and members of the Buildwitt team travelled to upstate New York to pay a visit to a massive job being undertaken by earthmoving and rock blasting specialists Petillo Companies, who apparently have an enviable reputation for being able to shift vast amounts of material very quickly.
The team use a combination of a Cat 395, and two Cat 390F hydraulic excavators loading various sized large dumptrucks, supported by Cat D10T 2 dozers, as they eat their way through a mountain of rock, which has been primarily blasted.
It’s estimated that the team are, or at least were shifting around 25,000+ yards per day with this set up, it certainly looks like an impressive job to have been witness too.
