Bron brand is set to debut in the UK

The first forestry machine by Canadian heavy agricultural and construction equipment giants Bron to be sold into the UK and Europe is winging its way to Scotland.

The Bron 310 mulcher is specifically designed to tackle small, moderate, and some larger-scale projects, including right-of-way clearances for pipelines, electricity and power lines, recreational trails, commercial site clearances, reclaiming farmland, and establishing firebreaks within the forestry sector.

The 13-ton 310 HP machine was sold via UK agricultural and construction equipment supplier Conagri who now have the sole UK franchise and distribution rights to these larger-than-life machines.

The pioneering purchasers are Cross Civils and Construction, a division of the family-owned Cross Group, based in Aberfeldy, Scotland, who will set the Bron 310 to work clearing already-harvested forestry plantations across the Scottish Highlands.

BRON is also a family firm, renowned for custom-designed static and utility ploughs, vibratory ploughs, agricultural drainage ploughs, chutes, trenchers, rippers, cable extractors, and mulchers.

Conagri director Andrew Venton, who accompanied Cross Civils director Kevin Cross to Canada, to see the Bron 310 in action, said: "These machines are something special. Being designed and manufactured in a country renowned for its timber and forestry means they are more than suited to anything the UK throws at them."

Kevin Cross added: "We were incredibly impressed by the 310 we tried in Canada and are very excited about receiving it in Aberfeldy. It is one of the largest investments in a single piece of machinery we have made to date but was vital to help us meet the increased operations in forestry work."

He added: "Our thanks go to Conagri for getting us this opportunity to improve the efficiency of our forestry operations.”

The deal was facilitated and closed with assistance from Jemma Cleverly of Equipment Finance UK who said: “It was an incredible experience seeing the Bron 310 mulcher in action and witnessing the impressive manufacturing process behind it.

“The opportunity to see first-hand how robust, reliable and capable these machines are gives our lenders added confidence in their build quality and performance. Many thanks to Andrew for making this happen for Cross and me — truly an insightful and valuable trip.

“Having the opportunity to witness how these machines are built and watching them tackle tough jobs first-hand was incredible. It’s easy to see why they’re known for their strength and reliability. Congratulations to Conagri on the dealership and to Cross for adding such a useful asset to their fleet.”
