Charity Takeuchi Takes Off in Cornwall
EJ Fry the specialist utility transport and plant hire company has taken delivery of a brand-new Takeuchi TB216. The new red & grey machine will also be doing an important job, raising money for the Cornwall Air Ambulance service for at least the next 3 years that it remains on the fleet.
The machine has been sign written with the logo of the Cornwall Air Ambulance service, and 20% of each hire the machine goes out on will be donated to the service which provides such a vital service in this very rural part of the country.
Managing Director Josh Fry said, “Having the red & grey machine seemed fitting with the air ambulance being red, a bit of a change from our usual green livery, but the Takeuchi product is well known for its reliability and smoothness of operation and they are always popular with customers. It will be available for general plant hire by builders, contractors as well as the general public with insurance available for those without it, and above all, its going to be raising the money for a great cause”.
Cornwall Air Ambulance receives no money from the government for this life saving service and it relies entirely on donations from the public and businesses. They are currently trying to raise more money to add a second helicopter to cope with demand, especially during the hectic tourist season in the West Country.
The first person to hire the machine was well known Devon based contractor Dave Hockin Plant Hire who picked up the machine for a week’s hire. In addition, Dave is going to donate a further 20% to the Devon Air Ambulance Service, which is a great gesture.
