Children in need of diggers

Flannery Plant Hire has a special telehandler and mini-excavator available to hire, with all of the rental charges being donated to the BBC Children in Need charity. These machines will also be used at fundraising events and to support specific charitable projects.

Their first job was for the television programme DIY SOS: The Big Build, which will be shown in November during BBC Children in Need Appeal week. They were used to support a team of volunteers to complete the conversion of a rundown early 1800s church hall. It is being transformed into accommodation and a support centre for Nightsafe, a Blackburn charity that provides support to homeless young adults.

Patrick Flannery said, “This year we have decided to focus our company-wide fundraising efforts on BBC Children in Need. Our spotty digger and telehandler have been on-site in Blackburn for just over three weeks. It has been a fantastic team effort and the amount of work completed is phenomenal. As a company we are very proud to support this cause and are very grateful to our suppliers, including JCB, for supporting this initiative.”
