Classic Cat’s up for grabs at Ritchie Bros

Two tractors are available but both very different beasts which I’m sure will appeal to those out there who enjoy tinkering with such classic machines.

The first model is a 1968 D6C serial no: 83A996, which is one of the most famous examples of this iconic Cat tractor. This machine has clearly been used on a variety of applications during its life time, but currently features no blade or ripper or even an operators seat.

The next example is a later D6D model, serial number: 20X1466, which has 8,909 hours on the meter. The D6D was first introduced in 1977 and was powered by a 140hp Cat diesel engine. This machine has at some point been converted into crawler crane with all-around-working platform for working on pipelines. The crane is an Atlas AK1403DA8 model while on the back its fitted with a compressor powered by a Hatz diesel engine.

Checkout this video where Rupert Craven of Ritchie Bros introduces the two machines and offers a bit of background on the classic items.

The auction is taking bids online now at RBauction.co.uk.
