Cornish Crowds Turnout as the Royal Cornwall Show Returns (Part Two)

Our good friends over at my local CASE construction equipment dealers M&M Plant Sales were located in their usual spot at the show ground, and displayed two new E-Series hydraulic excavators, with a Leica machine control equipped, CX250E sporting the familiar blue and white livery of Steve Hoskin Construction (SHC) which was also sat alongside a 9-tonne class CX90D model heading for the same customer.

While a 21-tonne class CX210E was destined for delivery to MJL Group straight from the showground.

Also on display was an example of the latest backhoe loader range the SV Series, in this instance the 590SV.

A friendly welcome awaited us at the Holt JCB stand, which coincidently was awarded the prestigious ‘Highly Commended’ award by the show judges for the JCB 3CX Pro, apparently the judges were impressed with the new features, industry firsts, and the fact that JCB have continued to evolve this machine over the decades, and the fact that it’s a firm favourite with operators across the globe. One has to say, it’s a mighty fine-looking piece of kit, and this one is heading off to long standing Cornish customer P. R. Welden.

Also, of interest on the stand, this 8.5-tonne 86 C-2 which I believe is the first JCB product to be sold to Steve Hoskin Construction for many years.

There were also two examples from JCB’s latest mini excavator models from the 5-tonne and below range including this 50 Z-2 model and the 3.5-tonne 35 Z-1 both machines being zero tailswing designs.

See more machines from the display in my walkaround video.

Marubeni-Komatsu were back at the show again this time, and Mike Darch and his team, presented five examples from the product range, including the 8-tonne class PC80MR, and the PC138US-11.

But the showstopper on the stand had to be the D71PXi intelligent machine control dozer, feedback from end users on these machines has been phenomenal to say the least, and it certainly looks the part for sure!

In Part Three of this serie's, we will wrap up the remaining stands I visited during my time at the show.
