Diggers Hillhead 2022 Highlights: Liebherr
Liebherr were situated in their familiar corner spot at Hillhead and this year had a very smart modular hospitality building, somewhat reminiscent of a mini Bauma concept.
Standout machine on the stand was the all new 30-tonne class TA230 articulated hauler. The Red Dot award winning truck was making its Hillhead debut, having already proven to be a very good piece of kit out in the field. Another example was being put through its paces out on the demo area being loaded by Liebherr’s Generation 8 model 945 hydraulic excavator, one of which was also featured on static display on the stand.

Liebherr’s Generation 8 hydrostatically driven dozers continue to make friends in the industry, with a number of high-profile companies adopting them into their fleets having been impressed with the class-leading fuel economy.
Two examples were on display on stand, the PR 726 Litronic which has an operating weight of 17,500 – 20,800kgs depending on specification, a blade capacity of 3.33 – 3.87 m3 and is powered by a Liebherr Stage V emissions compliant 4-cylinder diesel engine offering a power rating of 125kw (170hp).
Also making an appearance was the new PR 746 Litronic which tips the scales around 25,900 – 31,500kgs, and has a blade capacity of 6.00 – 7.20 m3. This machine features a 6-cylinder Stage V emissions compliant Liebherr diesel engine, with a power output rating of 190kW (258hp).
