“The Takeuchis are without doubt the Rolls-Royce of diggers.” That’s certainly high praise from Powell Developments – a house building and property development firm based in Trefeglwys, Wales. Established in 1995 by husband and wife team Colin and Mandy Powell, the company takes great pride in its fleet of Takeuchi excavators, including its new 15.6-tonne TB2150R complete with longer dipper arm and dozer blade.
Favoured dealer JDS Machinery of Pencander has looked after Powell Developments over the years, helping the company complete purchases of around £350,000 worth of Takeuchi (and Thwaites) machines, such as a nine-tonne TB290 and four-tonne TB240 – the latter a big favourite among Powell’s team.
